Key Differences
Social vs Focused
Straight Set
No social features—by design. We believe your workout tracker should help you lift, not scroll. No followers, no feeds, no sharing prompts, no notifications about what your friends lifted. Just you and the iron.
Hevy
Full social platform. Content feed, discovery feed, followers, likes, comments, profile privacy options. Can compare lifts with friends and see their workouts. Great if motivation from others helps you train.
Pricing
Straight Set
$9.99 one-time (after 30-day trial)
30-day free trial with full features. Then $9.99 once—own it forever. No payment info needed to start. If you don't purchase, app goes read-only.
Hevy
$2.99/month, $23.99/year, or $74.99 lifetime
Free version limited to ~5 routines and basic features. Pro unlocks unlimited routines, advanced analytics. Lifetime is 7.5x the price of Straight Set.

Our Honest Take
Hevy is a well-designed app with strong social features. If working out with friends (even virtually) motivates you, or you enjoy sharing your progress, Hevy does that well. Their lifetime price is also lower than Strong's.
We built Straight Set for a different mindset: the lifter who wants to focus, track progress, and get out. No feeds to check, no friends' workouts to comment on, no notifications pulling you back in. If that sounds like you, give us a try.
